Woman pours hot water on her husband for not picking her from church

A Zimbabwean man has been left badly scalded after being poured hot water by his wife Alice Chigwida, for coming home late and failing to pick her from St Mary’s Cathedral on Sunday, August 11.

Mr. Davies Chitagu reportedly returned home around 10 pm and they had an argument about him not picking her up from church. He was reportedly sleeping when his wife stormed the room he was in and emptied a bucket of hot water on him. A family member told Chronicle that the lady ignored her husband’s plea while pouring the hot water on him.
“WHEN SHE FEARED THAT HE WOULD DIE ON THEIR MATRIMONIAL BED, SHE HELPED HIM INTO THEIR CAR AND WENT TO DUMP HIM AT A SURGERY IN THE CITY BEFORE TELLING HIS RELATIVES THAT HE WAS IN HOSPITAL,” THE FAMILY SOURCE SAID.
It was learned that a police report had to be made before Mr. Chitagu could be treated. Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube confirmed the incident and he said an investigation has already been launched.
“I CAN CONFIRM THAT WE ARE DEALING WITH A CASE OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE WHERE A WOMAN SCALDED HER HUSBAND WITH BOILING WATER FOLLOWING A DOMESTIC DISPUTE. FURTHER INVESTIGATIONS INTO THE MATTER ARE UNDERWAY,” SAID INSPECTOR NCUBE.
Mr. Chitagu has since been discharged from the hospital but still has bandages on almost all parts of his body.

Forbes-rated young Nigerian billionaire, Obinwanne Okeke arrested by FBI for $12 billion (N4.3bn) fraud

A Forbes-rated young Nigerian billionaire and CEO of Invictus Group, Obinwanne Okeke has been arrested by America’s Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) over a $12 billion (N4.3bn) fraud.
He was arrested last week on the last day of his trip to the United States for allegedly defrauding top American companies of huge sums. Notably, he allegedly scammed $12m from a steel company by hacking into an executive’s office365 account and sending an email with a fake invoice to the purchasing department. His arrest came after Special Agent Marshall Ward of the FBI and the team he heads opened up an investigation in July 2018, following a petition by Unatrac Holding Limited.
Before his arrest, Obinwanne Okeke was a celebrated businessman who had a ‘grass to grace’ story on Forbes. The arrested suspect is said to be the 17th child of a polygamous father who died when he was 16, and he reportedly moved from one relative to another before moving Australia where he “did all kinds of jobs just to survive.” He became a viral sensation after he got featured in ‘Forbes Africa’s 30 Under 30’ list in 2016.
It is not clear how he made the list of Forbes’ 100 Most Influential Young Africans 2018, it should, however, be noted that he founded the Invictus Group of Companies, an investment conglomerate dealing in construction, agriculture, oil and gas, renewable energy, telecoms, and real estate. Invictus Group operates in three African countries, Nigeria, South Africa, and Zambia. His company was named as Africa’s Most Innovative Investment Company of the Year by African Brand Congress in 2017.
Obi recently got married, had a baby last month and got listed among 100 Most Influential Young Africans in 2018 alongside Davido, Falz, Ahmed Musa. He was also nominated for the All African Business Leaders Award for Young Business Leader (West Africa) in 2018. The AABLA Award is the most prestigious award for African businessmen/entrepreneurs.
The young Nigerian who accepted an offer to be a Contributor for Forbes Magazine and published his first essay in May 2017, has however been arrested by the FBI for allegedly being a fraudster which is popularly known as ‘yahoo-yahoo’ in Nigeria.

Woman bites off her husband’s lip In Kenya

A lady has bitten off the lower lip of her husband during a domestic disagreement in Kenya.
According to the 34-year-old husband, Benson Onsongo, the quarrel began when his 27-year-old wife informed him that she wanted to go visit her parents in Kisii County.
He said the wife asked him for money to travel to their home for an event but he had none. This angered her and she threatened to commit suicide.
Mr. Onsongo added that, on Monday evening, while he was at work, he was informed that the woman was about to end her life by jumping into a nearby river.
He stated that he rushed to the scene and talked her out of it, but on their way back home, she turned and bit off his lower lip before also biting his hand and stomach.
Mr Onsongo claimed his wife of four years has been subjecting him and their four children to violence.
“I picked up my lip from the ground and put it in a polythene bag, hoping that it would be reattached at the hospital but I have been told it is not possible. This is so inhumane... I cannot imagine that the woman I loved could do such a thing to me,” he added.
