  1. No one is safe in Katsina State, this is in line with a declaration attributed to the governor of the State Governor Aminu Masari. Governor Aminu Masari said this during the opening ceremony of an extraordinary security meeting in Katsina, where he lamented that the state was under siege by bandits, armed robbers, and kidnappers. Masari said the situation was so bad that some thieves stole some electrical equipment near the Government House at the Government Reserved Area in Katsina, The Punch reports. NAN reports that soldiers, the Police, Department of Security Service and other security outfits and traditional rulers attended the meeting.
  2. Here are pictures from the 2018 Imo International Carnival 2018 holding in Owerri, the state capital. Various people from within the state and abroad, gathered in their numbers and colors to participate in the fun event. The carnival has participants from the 27 local government councils of the state. A report has it that the Imo state government appropriated the sum of N500 million to celebrate the carnival.
