  1. Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, is attracting interest from Real Madrid. According to The Sun, the club wants him if they sack Zinedine Zidane at the end of this season. Zidane is expected to remain at the club if he wins the Champions League, but the club’s poor league form has put his position under threat. Klopp has become a target for the LaLiga giants, following his success with Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool in the European competition. The Liverpool boss could still have a say in whether Madrid will retain the Champions League if both sides progress to the semi-finals. Bayern Munich has also been linked with Klopp, but reports in Germany say Madrid hold the most interest.
  2. GERARD PIQUE HAS PERFECT ANSWER TO REAL MADRID NOT PERFORMING GUARD OF HONOR FOR BARCELONA Zinedine Zidane revealed Los Blancos’ decision to not perform the tradition was down to him and him alone. Gerard Pique has responded in brilliant fashion to the news that Real Madrid will not be performing a guard of honor for Barcelona. The pair meet in an El Clasico on the weekend of May 5, just four matches before the end of the league season – and Barca could already have the title wrapped up. But Zinedine Zidane has ruled out any chance of his side performing a guard of honor for their rivals when they next meet. “We will not give a guard of honour, this is my decision,” said the Real boss at his pre-Atletico Madrid press conference on Saturday. “Barcelona didn’t follow the tradition when we won the Club World Cup. This is my decision.” When asked what he thought of Zidane’s words following Barcelona’s 3-1 win over Leganes, Pique sarcastically replied: “I won’t be able to sleep at night…”
  3. Gerard Pique has poked fun at Zinedine Zidane’s refusal to give Barcelona a guard of honour in the Clasico next month, claiming the decision will cause him to lose sleep. Zidane has said Real Madrid will not give the Catalans the customary show of recognition ahead of the La Liga meeting at Camp Nou in May, assuming Barca have won the title by then. The Frenchman this week accused Barca of breaking tradition when they refused to hold a guard of honour following Madrid’s Club World Cup win in December. But Pique, speaking after his side’s 3-1 win over Leganes on Saturday, did not appear unduly affronted by Zidane’s decision. “I’m not going to sleep tonight,” he replied with a smile when asked about the issue by Movistar Partidazo . Barca’s win, which came courtesy of a hat-trick from Lionel Messi, saw Ernesto Valverde’s side equal the La Liga record of 38 consecutive matches without defeat. The result also gives the league leaders a 12-point lead over Atletico Madrid, who face the reigning champions in the derby on Sunday. “The all-time unbeaten record is the result of getting things right all season,” said Pique. “We had a great first half and then eased off in the second. The important thing is that we are still comfortably poised at the top of the table.”
  4. Spanish giants Real Madrid are having a rethink about their plan to buy Eden Hazard from Chelsea due to his recent drop in form. The Belgium international has been termed as Los Bloncos top target in the coming transfer window as Real are set to overhaul their squad in the summer. The former Lille midfielder is yet to commit his future to Chelsea and is waiting to see if the Blues would finish in the Premier League top four. The London club are struggling this season and after their loss to Tottenham they have now slipped eight points further from the Champions League spot. The Premier League defending champions have won just five games out of 19, and Hazard’s form for Antonio Conte’s side has tailed off. And as a result of Hazard’s dwindling performance, the Madrid outfit have not kept mum concerning the transfer of the talisman as expected. According to the London Evening Standard, the Bernabeu club are yet to make any form of enquiry for Hazard as his representatives are yet to seek a move out. The Belgian captain has already stated that he will sort his future out after the Russia 2018 World Cup this summer. He said: “I am going to play the World Cup and then I will leave on holiday. Then we will see what happens next. “I do not think about it (his future) yet. I have another two years on my contract with Chelsea, where I am very happy.” Hazard wants a strong showing in this year’s World Cup to strengthen his bargaining position but Chelsea had hoped to settle the deal before the end of the season. Chelsea play West Ham in their next league match and will also face Southampton in the FA Cup semi-finals at the Wembley stadium.
  5. Premier League campaigners Arsenal are reportedly ready to join Italian club Juventus in the race to sign Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos this summer. The 21-year-old Spanish midfielder moved to the Bernabeu with a big reputation but has failed to live up to expectations. Arsenal are on the verge of losing two midfield stars in Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey, and the Gunners are looking for better replacements. Wilshere is out of contract at the end of the season and has rejected Arsenal’s offer that would see him forced to take a pay cut. Ramsey on the other hand has one more year left on his contract, and Arsenal will prefer to get the cash on him rather than losing him for free. Arsenal are now turning their attention to Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos according to the report by Spanish media outlet Don Balon. Ceballos joined Sevilla FC’s youth system in 2004 at the age of 8, but was released in 2009 due to a chronic bronchitis problem. He subsequently played for hometown club CD Utrera, and completed his development in Real Betis after signing in 2011. On 14 July, 2017, Real Madrid announced the signing of Ceballos on a six-year deal for a transfer fee of around €18 million and he made his competitive debut on 16 August replacing Toni Kroos in the 80th minute of the second leg of the Supercopa de España.
  6. Real Madrid may opt not to bid for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard in the summer. Hazard has been heavily linked with a move to the Bernabeu in recent months, but the London Evening Standard claims Madrid’s focus on him could be waning. Although Madrid “were expected to step up their interest, it is understood that they have yet to make any form of inquiry to Chelsea or the Belgium international’s entourage and are not in any rush to do so.” The report says “Hazard’s form has dipped and the Madrid hierarchy are not sure whether to proceed, particularly as they already have a similar talent in Marco Asensio, who is five years younger.” Chelsea may sell or not sell, with speculation suggesting they would want an offer of more than £100million, even as they remain hopeful that they can still agree a contract extension with the player. Hazard’s current deal expires in 2020.
  7. Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice, including a stunning bicycle kick, as Real Madrid took control of their Champions League quarter-final against Juventus with a convincing first-leg win. The Real forward made history with his opener when he prodded home Isco’s cross – becoming the first player to score in 10 consecutive Champions League games and also broke even more Records. The UEFA Management took to Twitter to announce all the Records Ronaldo broke on their Twitter page. See all the Records Ronaldo broke last night below:- Some Twitter users wants UEFA to change the league name to Ronaldo Champions League With the excellent Records C.Ronaldo broke last night, it’s safe to say anyone who hates Ronaldo hates Football.
  8. Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas has reportedly told his club he would like to join Arsenal at the end of the ongoing league season. The 31-year-old’s current contract with Los Blancos expires in the summer of 2020, and the Spanish League outfit are yet to offer the Costa Rica international a new deal. According to the Sun, Real president, Florentino Perez is desperately looking for a replacement for the 31-year-old once this season is over in May. Spanish news outlet Don Balon claim Navas will prefer to join the Europa League campaigners at the end of the season, saying that he would be valued at the Emirates under Arsene Wenger. The 35-year-old has been impressive under Wenger at the north London club, with the former Chelsea star keeping his 200th Premier League clean sheet last month. Arsenal returned to action after the FIFA international break with a 3-0 victory over Stoke City at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, April 1st. And they will go on the back of that triumph into their Europa League quarterfinal clash against CSKA Moscow. However, they will hope they can stretch their winning streak to five games next weekend when they battle Southampton at the Emirates Stadium.
  9. France international Kylian Mbappe has downplayed speculation linking his Paris Saint-Germain teammate Neymar with a move to Real Madrid. Neymar moved to the Parc des Princes from Barcelona in a world-record £198m deal last summer and became an instant hit in the French Ligue 1 with the Spanish giants lobbying for his signature. However, Mbappe is adamant that the rumors about the Brazilian leaving for the Bernabeu at the end of the season are all false. He told Telefoot: “It’s nothing but hot air. “Neymar sends me messages, gives me the news. I wished him a good World Cup, but not to win it. “Of course, I have the goal of winning the World Cup. It’s even a dream. If we progress well, we can achieve something.” PSG’s manager Unai Emery is expected to leave the club at the end of the season after his side were knocked out of the Champions League in the round-of-16 by Zinedine Zidane’s side. Though the former Monaco forward insists the Ligue 1 leaders are having a good season as they march towards another league title, and after they lifted the Coupe de la Ligue on Saturday. He added: “I’m not sure that Emery will leave, even if he is at the end of his contract. “I don’t know if he talks to the club. We’ll see who will replace him if he leaves, but he is not leaving at the moment. “With PSG it’s a good season, even if we failed in Champions League. It will serve us well for next year, I hope. We will never forget it, that’s football. We simply didn’t deserve to progress.” Neymar has been ruled out till the end of the season as he faces a late fitness test to join the Selecao for the Russia 2018 World Cup proper.
  10. Premier League campaigners Arsenal has reportedly made an offer to bring Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas to the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners reportedly want the 31-year-old Los Blancos’ stopper as a replacement for their current number 1 goalie Petr Cech. Cech has struggled in goal for the north London side this term and Arsene Wenger wants a long-term replacement for the 35-year-old. And according to Spanish media outlet Don Balon, Keylor Navas has emerged as the main target for Arsenal chiefs this summer. Real Madrid, on the other hand, is also planning to allow Keylor Navas to leave the Bernabeu this summer as they eye a move for Manchester United goalie David De Gea. The Spanish goalkeeper has for years being a target for Los Blancos, and Ronaldo believes Real Madrid can sign the Spaniard at the end of the season. According to the report by Don Balon, Ronaldo mentioned the name of David De Gea in a meeting with the club’s chiefs as a player he wants to play with next term.
  11. REAL MADRID REJECTS CHELSEA’S £132M BID FOR MARCO ASENSIO CHELSEA HAVE HAD A £132M BID TURNED DOWN FOR REAL MADRID MIDFIELDER MARCO ASENSIO, ACCORDING TO DON BALON. According to Spanish outlet Don Balon, Madrid president Florentino Perez rejected the Blues’ offer, which is the first alleged approach for the player this season. Marco Asensio has scored 10 goals and assisted four others for Madrid this term The news outlet claims, however, that Asensio has been assured of his place in the Madrid team by Perez, who has told other clubs that the midfielder is not for sale.
  12. Brazilian football superstar Neymar has reportedly demanded a pay rise of £1 million-per-week as the only condition for him to stay at Paris-Saint-Germain next season. Last year, Neymar joined PSG for a world record move from Barcelona, but he has been linked with a move to Real Madrid since January 2018. And Neymar has now seemingly used that interest as leverage as he looks to extract a staggering pay packet from his current employers according to The Times. The 26-year-old Brazilian is said to be currently earning massive sum of £537,000-per-week at Paris-Saint-Germain. He is currently injured and was not part of Paris-Saint-Germain’s team that were beaten at home by Real Madrid in their Champions League second leg of the knock out stage. Real Madrid who are the reigning Spanish and European League champions are not currently finding it rosy this season in the Spanish La Liga. Los Blancos have been thrown out of the Copa dey Rey, but they have made it to the quarter final of the 2017/18 UEFA Champions League.
  13. Both clubs have been separated with 15 points in La Liga. Real will face Juventus while Barca plays Roma in the Champions League Barcelona is ready to hit back at their rivals Real Madrid after making a bid for their former star player Neymar, Don Balon reports. The Catalan giants are ready to retaliate by bringing Isco to the Camp Nou if Neymar completes a move to the Bernabeu. The Spain international was heavily linked with a move last year but he ended up signing a huge new deal with a £650million release clause. However, Isco has endured a frustrating campaign with Zinedine Zidane as he has become a regular benchwarmer in Los Blancos squad. Don Balon also said that Barcelona are hellbent on making Isco their long-term replacement for Andres Iniesta who could live for China at the end of the summer. But Barca is supposedly aware that Real will never sell one of their best players to a direct rival. Consequently, Barca will be hoping Isco makes the decision to leave this summer to somewhere else, then they would jump at the offer for him. On the other hand, Neymar has endured a fine season at Paris Saint Germain but already reportedly wants to leave for a new challenge elsewhere. Real Madrid wants Neymar despite his Barcelona past with the Brazilian on their transfer wishlist for the summer. Neymar has seemingly used PSG as a stepping stone to a sensational move just 12 months down the line and Isco could be about to do the same. Both sides are separated by 15 points in La Liga as Barca are on course for the ninth title in 14 seasons. Real are also contenders for a third consecutive Champions League honors but will have to overcome last season’s finalists, Juventus in the last eight. Valverde’s side was seemingly handed an easy quarterfinal pairing against Roma in the coming weeks.
  14. Neymar is a major injury doubt for Paris Saint-Germain in their massive Champions League last 16 second-leg clash against Real Madrid next week. The 26-year-old went down in a heap after twisting his ankle during PSG’s 3-0 win over Marseille Sunday and was in tears as he was stretchered off the field. PSG manager Unai Emery said he was “optimistic” the club talisman would be fit to return for the crucial second leg against Real, but in a statement Monday, the Ligue 1 giants revealed the forward has been diagnosed with a sprained ankle and fractured his fifth metatarsal. “Complementary examinations performed this day (ultrasound and CT) confirmed Antero external sprain of the right ankle but also the associated existence of a fissure of the fifth metatarsal,” the statement read. This is a major setback to PSG as they have it all to do in the second leg having lost 3-1 at the Bernabeu two weeks ago. Neymar has formed a lethal partnership with Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani since moving to Paris in the summer of 2017, and Emery has been left with a huge task replacing the skilful Brazilian. Meanwhile, Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane hasn’t received the news well, as he insists he wants the best players to be available for the clash. “No, I don’t like it when players get injured,” Zidane said. “I’m not happy if Neymar is injured. Hopefully he can play. I’m never going to want an opposing player to get injured.
  15. Manchester United have reportedly told Real Madrid they would have to cough up £88million if they want David De Gea in the summer. According to Marca, United hope placing a huge price on the 27-year-old, would discourage Real from trying to sign him. De Gea reminded La Liga suitors just what he is capable of, with his wonder save against Sevilla in the Champions League on Wednesday night. The Spanish goalkeeper was set to move to Real for £35m in the summer of 2015, only to see the move collapse in the final seconds of the window. But if the move is going to happen again, it would cost Real €100m (£88m). It is understood that De Gea's value has come straight from the Glazer family, who will refuse to accept anything less.
  16. Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has won the 2017 Ballon d'Or. It is the fifth time the Portugal international has won the prize, drawing him level with his great rival Lionel Messi for the most Ballons d'Or of all time. Ronaldo scored 42 goals across all competitions during the 2016-17 season, leading Real Madrid to a La Liga and Champions League double.
