  1. PSG star, Neymar, has revealed how former teammate, Lionel Messi, was there for him during his early days at Barcelona. The two South American stars had a close relationship during their time together at Barcelona. Neymar joined Barcelona in 2013 after the Catalan agreed on a reported £48.6m deal with Brazilian club, Santos. The Brazilian played in a front three alongside Messi and Luis Suarez. Neymar, however, struggled in his first week at Barcelona. He said Messi was there to give him some advice. Neymar said, “He [ Lionel Messi] saw that I was half crying because I had not done a good first time. “Messi saw that I was sad and started talking to me. ‘You have to be you. Play your football and do not be intimidated’. “Like it or not, playing with so many stars takes you back. It gives you a bit of shame. “After talking with him I started to let go, to show my football and to have confidence. “It was when I relaxed, I found happiness and started a very big friendship.”
  2. Brazil superstar Neymar has reportedly given Premier League side, Manchester United the go ahead to offer him a deal at the end of this season. The world’s most expensive footballer is currently in his home town recovering from the knee injury he suffered in late February’s fixture against Marseille in a cup clash. Neymar joined the Parisians barely one year ago and he is already linked with away from the Parc Des Princes –with La Liga side, Real Madrid in pole position to sign the attacker. However, the former Santos forward is quoted to have said he wants to join a more competitive league ahead of the coming season. According to Spanish news outlet Don Balon, Neymar has given the Red Devils the conditions to meet before signing a deal with them. Neymar is said to have informed United boss, Jose Mourinho he will head to Old Trafford if the Red Devils spend big in the summer transfer window. The 26-year-old also want the Europa League defending champions to sign Tottenham goal poacher Harry Kane and Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti this summer. Don Balon also claimed that the Brazilian persuaded Mourinho to keep hold of Paul Pogba and David De Gea at the end of the season. Both United players have been tipped to join Real Madrid when this season wraps up next month, and with all these conditions met, the Red Devils would have fulfilled all requirements to sign the former Barca star ahead of Real this summer. Neymar is currently sidelined with a foot injury but the Brazil star is hoping to be fit for the World Cup in Russia this summer. He joined the Spanish League side in the summer of 2013, having spent four seasons at Santos with 54 goals from 102 matches for the Brazilian topflight side. The winger continued his exploit in the La Liga with an impressive run of 68 goals in 123 games for the Catalan club within the space of four years.
  3. Paris Saint Germain star forward, Neymar, has given a huge indication that he and former Barcelona team-mate Lionel Messi could be reunited once again. Neymar left Barcelona last summer admits controversies though there have been lingering indications that he is not happy at Paris St-Germain. But what better to way for PSG to appease their star forward than by signing the world’s greatest player to play alongside him? Neymar took to his Instagram handle to share a photo of himself and Messi hanging out “When my friend #LeoMessi and I get together big things happen!” “I’m telling you guys more! Stay tuned!” Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez formed the deadly ‘MSN’ strike force during their time together at the Nou Camp. Although they have not exactly struggled since the Brazil international’s £200m departure. Barcelona are currently 11 points clear of Atletico Madrid at the summit of La Liga.
  4. Paris Saint Germain forward, Neymar, has once again shown that as the world most expensive footballer he can afford the good life. And Neymar did just that, as he took a ride in a personalized helicopter alongside his girlfriend Bruna Marquezine as they attended the final of The Voice Kids in Brazil. Neymar will be hoping to shake off his current injuries woes as he hopes to be fit ahead of the incoming World Cup. The PSG starman joined the Paris outfit from Barcelona in a world record £198m move and has enjoyed a fruitful first season at France scoring 29 goals in 30 games for the club across all competitions.
  5. Paris Saint-Germain and Brazil star Neymar could barely keep his hands off girlfriend Bruna Marquezine as he engaged in a public display of affection. The lovers were attending a Thiago Gagliasso play at the Laura Alvim theatre in Rio de Janeiro when they were photographed locking lips for a kiss. Having reconciled their relationship on New Year’s Eve in Brazil, the pair appears more loved-up than ever before as Neymar looks to enjoy life off the pitch having been sidelined with an ankle issue. He announced the end of his relationship with Marquezine shortly before he completed his move to PSG from Barcelona last summer. It was the third time the pair had split over a five-year period. According to reports in the Brazilian media at the time, the reason for the split was because the star footballer had asked his on-off-girlfriend of five years to marry him.
  6. Football star, Neymar has shown signs that his recovery after undergoing surgery on his broken foot are going well. The Brazil international took to social media to post videos of himself participating in some light rehabilitative exercises. In one video the 26-year-old is seen performing leg lifts with weights wrapped around each of his ankles. In another video, the ex-Barcelona man takes part in more training with his personal trainer, captioning it: “No pain..[sic] no gain”. The 26-year-old fractured his foot during PSG’s 3-0 defeat of Marseille in Ligue 1 on February 25. Neymar had surgery on his fifth metatarsal earlier this month in Brazil. Brazil star Neymar is aiming to return in time to represent his country at this year’s World Cup. His predicted return date comes just two weeks before Brazil’s World Cup opener against Switzerland on June 17. And to be sure he is back firing sooner rather than later, Neymar has also been undergoing ultrasound treatment on the damaged foot. Posting on his Instagram story, the superstar showed a doctor going to work on his foot. Ultrasound can be used to reduce swelling and has been claimed to help bones heal. Prior to his knock, the Brazilian ace had scored 28 goals in 30 matches for the Ligue 1 side.
  7. Brazilian football superstar Neymar has reportedly demanded a pay rise of £1 million-per-week as the only condition for him to stay at Paris-Saint-Germain next season. Last year, Neymar joined PSG for a world record move from Barcelona, but he has been linked with a move to Real Madrid since January 2018. And Neymar has now seemingly used that interest as leverage as he looks to extract a staggering pay packet from his current employers according to The Times. The 26-year-old Brazilian is said to be currently earning massive sum of £537,000-per-week at Paris-Saint-Germain. He is currently injured and was not part of Paris-Saint-Germain’s team that were beaten at home by Real Madrid in their Champions League second leg of the knock out stage. Real Madrid who are the reigning Spanish and European League champions are not currently finding it rosy this season in the Spanish La Liga. Los Blancos have been thrown out of the Copa dey Rey, but they have made it to the quarter final of the 2017/18 UEFA Champions League.
  8. Both clubs have been separated with 15 points in La Liga. Real will face Juventus while Barca plays Roma in the Champions League Barcelona is ready to hit back at their rivals Real Madrid after making a bid for their former star player Neymar, Don Balon reports. The Catalan giants are ready to retaliate by bringing Isco to the Camp Nou if Neymar completes a move to the Bernabeu. The Spain international was heavily linked with a move last year but he ended up signing a huge new deal with a £650million release clause. However, Isco has endured a frustrating campaign with Zinedine Zidane as he has become a regular benchwarmer in Los Blancos squad. Don Balon also said that Barcelona are hellbent on making Isco their long-term replacement for Andres Iniesta who could live for China at the end of the summer. But Barca is supposedly aware that Real will never sell one of their best players to a direct rival. Consequently, Barca will be hoping Isco makes the decision to leave this summer to somewhere else, then they would jump at the offer for him. On the other hand, Neymar has endured a fine season at Paris Saint Germain but already reportedly wants to leave for a new challenge elsewhere. Real Madrid wants Neymar despite his Barcelona past with the Brazilian on their transfer wishlist for the summer. Neymar has seemingly used PSG as a stepping stone to a sensational move just 12 months down the line and Isco could be about to do the same. Both sides are separated by 15 points in La Liga as Barca are on course for the ninth title in 14 seasons. Real are also contenders for a third consecutive Champions League honors but will have to overcome last season’s finalists, Juventus in the last eight. Valverde’s side was seemingly handed an easy quarterfinal pairing against Roma in the coming weeks.
  9. Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar seems determined to return fully fit for the upcoming World Cup as he hit the gym on Thursday. The Brazil forward sustained a broken metatarsal in his right foot during the Ligue 1 leaders’ 3-0 victory over Marseille on February 25. After locking horns with his employers over the time and location that he would have surgery, the 26-year-old underwent a successful procedure less than two weeks ago.Having originally been ruled out for up to three months, his World Cup hopes to hang in the balance.
  10. Neymar is a major injury doubt for Paris Saint-Germain in their massive Champions League last 16 second-leg clash against Real Madrid next week. The 26-year-old went down in a heap after twisting his ankle during PSG’s 3-0 win over Marseille Sunday and was in tears as he was stretchered off the field. PSG manager Unai Emery said he was “optimistic” the club talisman would be fit to return for the crucial second leg against Real, but in a statement Monday, the Ligue 1 giants revealed the forward has been diagnosed with a sprained ankle and fractured his fifth metatarsal. “Complementary examinations performed this day (ultrasound and CT) confirmed Antero external sprain of the right ankle but also the associated existence of a fissure of the fifth metatarsal,” the statement read. This is a major setback to PSG as they have it all to do in the second leg having lost 3-1 at the Bernabeu two weeks ago. Neymar has formed a lethal partnership with Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani since moving to Paris in the summer of 2017, and Emery has been left with a huge task replacing the skilful Brazilian. Meanwhile, Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane hasn’t received the news well, as he insists he wants the best players to be available for the clash. “No, I don’t like it when players get injured,” Zidane said. “I’m not happy if Neymar is injured. Hopefully he can play. I’m never going to want an opposing player to get injured.
  11. Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar has been left in tears after being stretchered off with what appears to be a serious ankle injury that could rule him out of the Champions League tie against Real Madrid. Neymar exited the game against Marseille in the 77th minute, with the Ligue 1 leaders eventually winning 3-0. The Brazilian was tracking back behind Bouna Sarr when his right ankle awkwardly twisted, leaving him in agony on the turf. The injury is a huge blow for boss Unai Emery and co., who are aiming to overturn a 3-1 deficit in the last 16 Champions League tie with Real Madrid, with the second leg on Tuesday, March 6. Despite Neymar’s anguish as he lay on the turf, Unai Emery remains optimistic. “If I had to pick my Real Madrid side now, I would say that Neymar could feature,” Emery said after the game. “We are optimistic.” Depending on the severity, the injury could also rule him out of Brazil’s March friendlies against Russia and Germany. The news is a devastating blow for the French club, whose season will be defined by their success in Europe – with a 14 point lead in Ligue 1 over Monaco.
