  1. A single mom of five has gone viral after graduating from Law School. 33-year-old Houston native Ieshia Champs posted an amazing photo including her five children holding signs that say things like, “I helped too!” and “We did it!” All of the success Iesha is experiencing has come after a series of unfortunate circumstances. As a single mother, I know first hand that nothing else has pushed me to become a better person than my son! It’s something about a mother’s love for her children that drives her to do the impossible! Iesha and her sister bounced around from foster home-to-foster home after being removed from their drug-addicted mother’s home. Her sister got pregnant at 14, so she dropped out of high school to help raise the baby. Soon after, Iesha met the father of four of her children and they had their first child when she was 19. Iesha was 25 at the time and thought she was crazy for pressing onward, but she did! Iesha got accepted into law school, had her fifth baby and got married, only to be divorced a year later, but she stayed in school and here we are today! Lesha says God made a way for her when she thought all was lost. She says that she finished in the top 15% of her class and that it was “nobody but God!” She also received $13,000 in scholarships and tells us that God sent her a study group that would come to her home .

  8. Some of the schoolgirls kidnapped from their school in Dapchi, Yobe State, may have been freed by their abductors. Sources said the girls were brought to Dapchi by persons suspected to be their Boko Haram abductors. About 110 girls were kidnapped from Government Girls Science and Technical College in Dapchi, Yobe State, on 19 February, in a raid President Muhammadu Buhari described as a “national disaster.” Amnesty International yesterday said the Nigerian military was warned prior the raid similar to the one that led to the kidnap of Chibok girls on April 14, 2014. It blamed the latest kidnap on the “inexcusable security lapses” on the part of the military. “The government’s failure in this incident must be investigated and the findings made public — and it is absolutely crucial that any investigation focuses on the root causes,” said Amnesty’s Nigeria director Osa Ojigho. But the Nigerian military said that Amnesty goofed. A military spokesman Brigadier General John Agim said AI’s report was a “calculated attempt to whip up sentiments and mislead unsuspecting Nigerians.” AI, however, insisted that between 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm on February 19, at least five calls were made to tell the security services that Islamist fighters were in the Dapchi area. 10. A five-year-old schoolgirl drowned in a pit latrine after falling in when she went to the toilet between lessons in South Africa. Lumka Mkhetwa was feared abducted when she vanished while at school in Bizana in the Eastern Cape and a police search was launched for the youngster. But her lifeless body was found the following day after the pit toilet was emptied and searched. The tragedy happened at the Luna Primary School, the Education Minister has confirmed. Angie Motshekga apologised for the death of the Grade R pupil. She said in an official statement: ‘The death of a child in such an undignified manner is completely unacceptable and incredibly disturbing. ‘I would like to send my sincere condolence to the family of Lumka Mkhetwa. I cannot begin to know the trauma the parents are experiencing now. ‘It is truly a tragic incident and my sympathies are with them.’ Counselling has been offered to staff and pupils at the school. The incident was similar to one at a school outside Polokwane four years ago when Michael Komape, five, drowned in a pit toilet. His family went on to claim damages from the State. Lumka’s father Vuyani Mkehtwa said he believed from the position his daughter was found in that she could have been pushed rather than fallen. He told Despeath Live: ‘We do not understand how this happened. We were under the impression that children are escorted to the toilet at that age. ‘We have serious questions about the responsibility of the teachers but we have received a visit from officials, who have promised to investigate.’ Mkhethwa last saw his daughter on Monday morning as she was leaving for school and has been told his teacher last saw her at 1pm. He described Lumka as a happy child who enjoyed playing with other children and was excited about having finally started school this year. He said:’We are heartbroken because we send our children to school thinking they will be safe. ‘Although we do not know the details of how this tragedy happened from how she was found it does not look like she was using the toilet because she still had her underwear on. ‘From the position of her legs it leaves us with the fear that she may have been pushed.’ The national education department said it is doing ‘everything in its capacity’ to try to upgrade pit latrine toilets and sanitation at schools in South Africa. Section 27 executive director Mark Heywood, who runs a public interest law centre hit out at Motshekga over Lumka’s death. He said: ‘I read her statement and I absolutely believe that she is crying crocodile tears. ‘She knows about the repulsive and shocking state of toilets in public schools in remote areas. ‘The problem is that she and her people know about these deadly toilets but there is no political will to fix them. ‘They continue to make excuses. It’s not a matter of lack of resources or technology. They simply do not care’ he said. Captain Edith Mjoko of the local police said: ‘No foul play is suspected. The body is still with the police for a post-mortem and inquest will take place’.

The mum-of-four is said to have told police about several instances of $exual behaviour with students, including $ex with one boy twice the same night – in the back of her car and the basement of his house. Police files implied Eichler may have given the lad a sexually transmitted disease and he later “reached out to her.” He apparently told Eichler he needed £130 ($180) for antibiotics and told her to leave the cash in a bag near his home. Eichler told cops she left £70 ($100) but he wanted more, including money for a sibling who had learned of their trysts in Canton, Ohio, US. The PE teacher also reportedly had $ex with a student in her office at McKinley Senior High School before sports practices, the police documents say. She also allegedly picked up a youngster near his home and took him to a park to have $ex during parent-teacher conferences. Several students are said to have told detectives their relationship with Eichler started on messaging apps such as Snapchat. The “reprehensible” behaviour started in January 2018, and ended on March 8. Police have not yet charged Eichler.Eichler “disclosed engaging in $exual conduct with multiple students,” when interviewed by investigators, according to files obtained by The Canton Repository. No charges have been brought against Eichler, who is on unpaid paid leave while the probe continues.
