    Nigeria is blessed with so many talented singers and songwriters and one of the most sought after will have to be Praiz. The X3M music recording artiste is not just one of the most famous but also most talented. Singer, songwriter, producer and instrumentalist. The CV is rich and the man is endowed. Praise Ugbede Adejo (born 8 March 1984), better known by his stage name Praiz, is a Nigerian R&B songwriter, producer and singer. Praiz’s music career hit the limelight after he finished second runner-up at the maiden season of Project Fame West Africa. He is best known for releasing hit singles like “Rich and Famous”, “Sisi” and “I Love You”. He contributed guest vocals to Bez’s 2011 single “That Stupid Song”; the music video for the aforementioned song went on to be the first African video to make a world premiere on BET’s 106 & Park. He is currently signed to X3M Music. Praiz, a native of Igala in Kogi State was born in Lagos but later relocated to Kaduna in 1992 after his father was transferred there on a missionary work. He is the second child out of five children. He has a National Diploma in Computer Science after graduating from Kaduna Polytechnic. Project Fame West Africa Praiz has been doing well in the music before he shot into limelight after emerging second runner-up in the first edition of Project Fame West Africa, a music reality T.V show which Iyanya went on to win. His performance in the competition increased his fan base making him one of the next rated star in the Nigerian music industry. 2010–present: Rich & Famous Edit Praiz has worked with several artites including Awilo Longomba, Cobhams, Wizkid, Seyi Shay, Bez and M.I. One of his many works is a song he collaborated with fellow Nigerian artiste Bez on the hit single “That Stupid Song” which went on to be the first African video to make a world premiere on BET’s 106 & Park. On 22 July 2012, he released the hit single titled “Rich and Famous” which got positive reviews and massive airplay thus getting him nominated in several award events. On 14 December 2014, Praiz released his debut studio album titled Rich & Famous. Known to be a soul and R&B artiste, Praiz also has a diverse style in making other genres of music, switching up from R&B to afropop with commercially appealing songs like “Oshe” and “Mercy”. He cites Barry White, Michael Jackson, Carl Thompson and Boyz II Men as people who influence his type of music. Praiz is a brand ambassador for network service giants MTN. He is also involved with some charitable organizations including Safe Motherhood Foundation and Little Big Souls, an organization geared towards helping to reduce premature maternal mortality and assisting women who cannot afford maternal care. A man with an obvious heart for the people. Praiz is a musician with a voice of gold and a talent that’s not disputable. Only greatness is expected and that we’re not in doubt he will deliver.

He stayed in his lane, brushed it up and ever since has been making giant strides. Along the way, he even discovered the biggest export of talent Nigerians currently lay claim of pride on. Olubankole Wellington (born 27 March 1981, known under the stage name Banky W, and credited in film as Banky Wellington, is a Nigerian singer, rapper and actor. Early life and career beginnings Banky W was born in the United States to Nigerian parents. His family moved back to Nigeria when he was five years old. He started singing at a young age in the church choir. He schooled in Lagos for his primary and secondary education and returned to further his tertiary education at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, New York on a scholarship. He started his record label E.M.E in 2002 while still studying. After moving to Nigeria in 2009, he established the label in Lagos. He signed artists like Niyola, Shaydee, Skales and Wizkid to the label at the time. His breakthrough debut studio album, Back in the Building was released in 2005..He and Sasha P were the first official ambassadors of Samsung electronics in Nigeria. He is also a brand ambassador for Ciroc ultra-premium vodka. 2012–2013: R&BW A day after Valentine of 2013, he launched his new album “R&BW” with a concert tagged the “Grand Love Concert” at the Civic Centre, Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island, Lagos, which featured several other artistes including Iyanya, Waje and more. The first two singles from the album are “Lowkey” and “Yes/No”. He got married to Adesua Etomi traditionally on the 19th of November, 2017 and subsequently did his white wedding in South Africa on the 25th of November, 2017. He had a successful skin cancer surgery on his shoulder in 2017. Currently heavily invested in management now and also seriously putting his acting cred on screens, Banky W is a man of many talents and have proven to be the real deal. With so much to give and a lot expected, the Capable one has got all it takes to continue to wow us for many years to come.

Chidinma Ekile is the ideal combination of talent and beauty. Chidinma Ekile (born 2 May 1991), popularly known by her stage name Chidinma, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. In 2010, she rose to stardom after winning the third season of Project Fame West Africa. Following the release of the music video for her “Emi Ni Baller” single, she became the first female musician to peak at number 1 on the MTV Base Official Naija Top 10 chart. In 2011, she released her first solo single “Jankoliko” featuring Sound Sultan. Chidinma, her self-titled debut studio album, was released through the music platform Spinlet. It was supported by the singles “Jankoliko”, “Carry You Go”, “Kedike” and “Run Dia Mouth”. The album features guest appearances from Sound Sultan, Tha Suspect, Olamide and Muna. Chidinma won Best Female West African Act at the 2012 Kora Awards and performed “Kedike” at the ceremony. Chidinma Ekile, the sixth of seven children, was born in Ketu, Kosofe, Lagos State. Both of her parents are from Imo State. She worked as a business promoter in Lagos prior to auditioning for the third season of Project Fame West Africa. Chidinma started singing at the age of 6, and grew up with a disciplinarian father. When she was 10 years old, she joined her church’s choir. She attended primary and secondary school in Ketu prior to relocating to Ikorodu with her family. Chidinma is currently studying sociology at the University of Lagos. She initially wanted to study mass communication. Chidinma initially declined her admission into the University of Lagos due to her advancement in the aforesaid competition. In an interview with YNaija, Chidinma said that she has always taken school seriously and her decision to enroll at Unilag was inevitable. She also said that music hasn’t always been on her agenda, but decided to give it a try after winning the MTN-sponsored Project Fame music competition. After dying her hair red and getting a mohawk, people started perceiving her as a good girl gone bad. In an interview posted on the Daily Independent website, Chidinma said she is still the same. She also said she’s evolving and growing as a musician. In November 2013, a viral $ex tape of Chidinma’s look-alike surfaced on the internet. Many people were convinced that Chidinma was the one in the $ex tape. Speaking to Sunday Beats, Chidinma debunked the accusation. She said she felt bad when she initially heard the story. In an extensive interview with Nonye Ben-Nwankwo, Chidinma elaborated on the $ex tape scandal. She said that while her fan base grew from the incident, she felt quite devastated. She also thanked her core fans for their support through the scandal. Barely the controversial type, Genevieve Nnaji is a Queen of the Nigerian movie screen and has been such for a long time. Genevieve Nnaji, born 3 May 1979) is a Nigerian actress and singer. She won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in 2005, making her the first actress to win the award. In 2011, she was honoured as a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic by the Nigerian government for her contribution to Nollywood. Nnaji was born in Mbaise, Imo State, Nigeria but grew up in Lagos, the fourth of eight children and was brought up in a middle class environment. Her father worked as an engineer and her mother as a nursery teacher. She attended Methodist Girls College (Yaba, Lagos), before transferring into the University of Lagos where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in creative arts. While at the university, she began auditioning for acting jobs in Nollywood. Nnaji started her acting career as a child actress in the then popular television soap opera Ripples at the age of 8. In 1998 at the age of 19 she was introduced into the growing Nigerian film industry with the movie “Most Wanted”. Her subsequent movies include Last Party, Mark of the Beast and Ijele. In 2010 she starred in the award-winning film Ijé: The Journey. She has starred in over 80 Nollywood movies. Nnaji is considered to be one of the best paid actresses in Nollywood. Due to her contributions to the Nigeria movie industry, she became the first actress to be awarded Best Actress at the 2001 City Peoples Awards, the award ceremony that previously had only recognized politicians and business conglomerates. She was also the first actress to be awarded as Best Actress by the Census Board of Nigeria in 2003. In 2009, she was referred to as the Julia Roberts of Africa by Oprah Winfrey. In 2004 Nnaji signed a recording contract with EKB Records, a Ghanaian record label, and released her debut album One Logologo Line,[16] a mix of R&B, Hip-Hop and Urban music. Genevieve is still as youthful as ever. Waxing strong in pride and talent.   5. Reno Omokri, the former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan has listed seven things he claimed President Muhammadu Buhari does not know. This is coming at a time when the president denied knowledge about the refusal of the Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris to relocate to Benue. Buhari stated this during his visit to Benue. Omokri on his Twitter page listed reinstatement of the ex-pension boss, Abdulrasheed Maina as one of the things Buhari was not aware of. He wrote:- Seven Things Buhari does not know; 1. The whereabouts of his IGP 2. That Ghana is less corrupt than Nigeria 3. That West Germany no longer exists 4. That his Vice President’s name is not ‘Osinbade’ 5. Who padded his various budgets 6. Who reinstated and promoted Maina 7. That his wife does not belong to ‘other room’.

Olanrewaju Ogunmefun better known by his stage name Vector tha Viper, is a Nigerian Hip-hop artist with a reputation for being a staunch believer in his own craft. Starting off his career, you wouldn’t be wrong to easily compare Vector to popular American rapper Jay Z. flows, rhyme and style were all alike but eventually, Vector came into his own being. Vector released his first official single “Kilode” for the album State of Surprise in February 2010. He later released the video for this single in June 2010. The follow up second official single was “Mary Jane” which was released in April of the same year with the album being released on 29th of October 2010. As a young student of St. Gregory's College, Vector was involved in various social activities in which he was made to perform from the stage. Vector later attended the prestigious University of Lagos, Akoka graduating in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy. Vector is currently one of the top acts in the Naija rap game. He’s known to be a poet, songwriter, and producer. He has done songs and has been featured in various songs by notable artists. His 2 singles “Angeli” featuring the self-acclaimed ancestor of music9ice and “Mr. Vector” featuring Jazzy, both produced by Sagzy were released on 19 May 2011 and were on heavy rotation on radio stations around the country. The video for “Angeli” was released in October 2011 and was shot by Clarence Peters and went on to amass more cult following for the talented rapper. In anticipation of his second studio album, he released a mixtape titled “Bar Racks” which set the tone for the release of his second studio album titled The Second Coming on 12 December 2012. Vector released the track “Born Leader” featuring Jamaican international Mavado who is under DJ Khaled’s We the Best Music Group. “Born Leader” is Vector’s 3rd single off his second album titled The Second Coming. He also shot the video in Miami, Florida at the exclusive G-Five and it was directed by Antwan Smith. In furtherance of his dominance, in January 2015, vector released a highly critically acclaimed rap single titled “King Kong” with the video being released in the same month. Due to the high success of the single vector released two remixes with the first one featuring Phyno, Reminisce, Classiq and Uzi, and the second remix featuring Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie which was released in May and June 2015 respectively. The video for the first remix was released in July 2015. On July 15 he released a fresh single titled “Kanawan Dabo” and in July 24 he released a freestyle titled “8”. Vector has won multiple awards such as DYNAMIX Youth Awards 2012, Nigerian Music Video Awards (NMVA) 2011 for Best Mainstream Hip-Hop Video and back to back Lyricist on the roll at The Headies. The lyricist is not signed to any record label. He is currently associated with a new imprint called G-Rap which he describes as a movement. The rapper released his third studio album in December 2016. The LP titled Lafiaji according to Vector is two-sided; Red and White, representing different facets of the rapper’s creativity. With his credentials as a top MC not in doubt, we can only hope that the talented rapper continues to churn out great tunes for our listening pleasure.

However, the actress is yet to confirm or deny the story even though she and her publicist have been reached for a statement, that notwithstanding, Nigerians have already taken to Twitter to express their excitement. “Avengers: Infinity War” is the most anticipated movie of 2018, according to IMDB, and features Akindele alongside Marvel characters such as Black P@nther, Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow among others. Here are seven things you should know about Akindele’s role in the movie. 1. The Dora Milaje (pronounced dora-meh-LAH-shay) is translated in English as “Adored Ones” 2. In the comics, the Dora Milaje are the personal bodyguards of the Black P@nther, recruited from every tribe of Wakanda. 3. As an ancient tribal tradition, the Dora Milaje are assembled as potential queens for an unmarried king. This is to maintain unity in Wakanda by ensuring the possibility of the king selecting a wife from any of the 18 tribes in the kingdom. 4. It’s customary for the Dora Milaje to shave their heads and have tribal markings. In 2017, Akindele shaved her head. It could be for the role, or not. 5. While most of the Dora Milaje are nameless, several like Okoye (played by Dania Gurira) Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Queen Divine Justice are the most prominent. 6. They are the most accomplished female fighting team in the Marvel Universe. With ease, they fought the master Russian assassin Black Widow and almost defeated Storm. 7.
