  1. A Nigerian South African-based pastor has sent the internet into a frenzy after photos of him having an intense worship session with his members surfaced online. Prophet Andrew Ejimadu who is the president at Christ Freedom Ministries became a controversial topic when photos of his members kissing his shoes for blessings and miracles emerged on social media. The young pastor has in the past suggested apparent ridiculous things for members to do in order to gain “blessings” and certain “miracles” from God. People are now of the opinion that his methods appear completely outrageous. The photo has left many asking what can come out of a human licking another person’s shoes. It is however, a thing of joy for the members who were pictured doing it with faith that their burden will be lifted off the. Prophet Andrew is also known as Seer 1 nd shared the photos on his social media page, saying: “I have blessed your legs. I have washed your feet. First thing tomorrow morning, if you type Amen and share this post, someone will call you and your feet will carry you there to pick a special gift. Many people will miss this. Try it.” Members in worship session Source: Facebook, Prophet Anointed CFM
  2. The general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A Adeboye has spoken against what appears to be the new pattern used by some pastor during anointing. Recently, they’ve been pictures floating on social media showing pastors placing their hands on sensitive parts of their members during deliverance. This has been seriously criticized by Adeboye who says such men aren’t of God. ‘Any man who anoints women on their B.reasts is not from God.The head is the headquarters for the anointing in your body. Search your heart and be honest with yourself if you have missed it in your relationship with God. Holiness is crucial in sustaining the anointing because whenever the anointing dries up, the devil steps in. It is better never to be anointed than to be an ex-anointed. If you abuse anointing, it can destroy you. Samson is an excellent example. To be specially anointed, you must be holy” the clergyman said. Pastor Adeboye, who recently celebrated his birthday was in Benue state where he and his wife paid a condolence visit to Governor Samuel Ortom and held prayers for the state. This is related to the constant attacks on people of the state by the dreaded Fulani Herdsmen which has seen the state hold 2 mass burials in the space of 3 months. The clergyman said, ”The governor is my son, the wife is my daughter and my children cannot be in trouble and I will fold my arms and do nothing. I would have come here before now but was guided by the spirit not to visit Benue before the President. The challenges are enormous but we know who to run to, and that is God almighty”.

  8. A Kenyan Clergyman - Rev. Vincent Mulwa of Christ Pilgrim Restoration Centre, Kenya, has come out to challenge the Christian doctrine that men should only marry one wife. In an interview with Kenya's The Daily Nation, Rev. Mulwa said Africans bought the world views of European missionaries who brought Christianity into Africa and abandoned polygamy, a practice that was rife even among the people who lived during biblical times. Rev Mulwa said he wants Christian leaders to review teachings on monogamous marriages, claiming there is no verse in the Bible supporting it. He says this is necessary to "save a generation of women who are aging in church without husbands". Rev Mulwa added; "I have been in the ministry for 38 years, preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ but now I have realized that we ministers of the gospel have lost our believers," "I have never seen anywhere in the Bible where prophets and preachers prayed for single ladies to get married. The Bible people were polygamous and everyone had a husband," he says, adding that widows were allowed to become concubines. He says polygamy was commonly practiced by many African traditional communities and the Jewish culture was also polygamous, adding that it only began to fade with the introduction of Christianity. "As far as the Bible is concerned, the number of wives or concubines that one has does not matter and is not a standard of holiness. I have come out to tell Christians that we must preach the true gospel and allow our men in the church to marry as many wives as they want. Polygamy is not about men needing many wives but it's about women needing husbands." According to the cleric, the Bible has only come out strongly to condemn adultery, which is taking another man's wife. The reverend argues that the fact that the missionaries, who mostly came from Rome, began to preach monogamy does not mean that this is what the Bible teaches. "It is unfortunate for the Church that today when our dear brothers and sisters attend theological schools, they are fed with so much gentile-tilted theology that upon graduation, they are well equipped to vigorously convince the world to buy into the Roman immigration of Christianity," He says Christianity is not an American or European culture. Rather, it is God's way of reaching and dealing with humankind. Rev Mulwa, who says he is officially married to one wife, says he was preaching in a church he started 20 years ago but had to leave the church because his wife and members disagreed with his polygamy teaching. "I told my wife that as much as she doesn't want to agree with me, I will continue preaching the gospel of polygamy until the whole world hears of it because that is the true gospel," he says. When asked if he has secret wives he responded: "The number of wives I have is not an issue. If I have one wife or more, I will not be holier than the other. That's why I am saying Christian men should be allowed to marry many wives." His interpretation of the Bible is that it has not condemned polygamy. Rather, it was practiced widely by men of God in the Bible. "Polygamy is an acceptable practice. No lady should stay without a husband. Christianity remains the holiest faith, but when preached from the perspective of the European and American gentiles, then it is definitely the filthiest religion on earth." He gives the example of some of the men in the Bible like Abraham and David who married more than one wife and had concubines with whom they got children. "The holiness was in how these men dealt with their many wives and concubines and God had no problem with them," he says. The reverend says it is wrong to imagine that God would have created two wives for Adam as "God created them so that they may fill the world" He noted that in the Bible, some women seemed to have been in a complex situation such that remarrying was out of thought. They ended up being concubines. But even for concubines, there was discipline, he says, and a man found with another man's concubine was to be beaten. "This was a lesser punishment compared to when you were found with someone's wife where the sentence was death by stoning," he adds. Source: nation.co.ke

  12. A worker with Inner City Mission for Children (ICM4C), under the Christ Embassy Church canopy, Mrs. Brenda Nwanguma,is threatening to drag senoir pastor, Pastor Kenechukwu Kanu aka Kaycee to court. According to New Telegraph, Nwanguma is demanding justice in respect of alleged work place harassment, intimidation, blackmail and libel. Nwanguma's lawyer, Samuel Akpologun, has already petitioned the church. She is threatening to take the church and Pastor Kaycee to court if nothing was done to address and back. Earlier this year, Nwanguma, a mother of three, had accused Pastor Kaycee of sexually harassing and victimizing her. . While Nwanguma accused Kaycee, a father of two, of sexual harassment, Kaycee countered by calling her a, "loose woman who has slept with at least two to three men here. Her husband doesn't know her. He should go and put his house in order. I'm a man of the cloth. There're certain things I shouldn't say." Nwanguma had further accused Kaycee of having a penchant for sexually harassing and even succeeding in sleeping with women in the organization. She noted that it was because she rebuffed Kaycee's sexual advances that led to her being victimized. Part of Akpologun's petition states: "It is our brief that on April 3, 2017, our client, Brenda Nwanguma, who is a staff in your organisation, made a complaint to the Head of Administration of the said mission, Pastor Ifeoma Chiemeka, through electronic mail on the following; sexual harassment. She said that Pastor Kaycee, had been sexually harassing our client by making demands to have canal knowledge of her in return for facilitating her transfer from a department with an oppressive boss, to another department." The lawyer further stated that because his client turned down Kaycee's sexual advances, the cleric resorted to victimizing her by posting and transferring her twice, within the space of a month." She has decided to take the matter to court after endlessly waiting to hear from the committee constituted by the church to look into the allegation.
