An alleged Closed Circuit Television footage of the Offa Bank Robbery in Kwara State, has surfaced online.
On Thursday last week, gunmen numbering about 30 had stormed the town and engaged in a robbery operation that was reported to have lasted for about 2 hours without any confrontation from security agents across the state.
No fewer than 17 persons, including nine policemen, were killed in the robbery operation carried out
In the footage, a woman and her child were seen leaving what looked like the ATM house of a bank when gun-bearing men started shooting sporadically from the major road.
Two men standing by the small house took off immediately they heard the gunshots, while the camera angle did not show what became of the woman and the child she was holding.
After that, three armed men were seen going around seemingly coordinating what next to do.
Smoke, which appeared to come from explosives were also seen after a banging noise.
Another explosive was later thrown into what seems like the small building housing the ATM.
Then the men went inside and came out.

We are happy to list three most popular methods for checking your MTN number. You can easily choose the one you like the most or find the easiest in our selection.

Just like other Nigerian companies, MTN makes sure its clients always get quick access to their personal details and information. You can use USSD code and learn what number you have within seconds.
You need to dial one USSD code and perform some further actions. *123# – this is the quickest combination to dial directly on your device to see your personal MTN phone number on the screen. You will access the Menu. Now you are welcome to choose option 1. Once you make this choice, you will get to My Tools feature. Click another option 1 known as ‘My Number.’ This is how each MTN client is capable of requesting his or her phone number. You will now see your phone number.   Here is the full USSD you will have to dial and a second option to use:
*123*1*1# – your MTN number will be shown on your screen *663# – you will see the phone number on the display
MTN has a self-service portal, which is available 24/7. However, it requires your phone number and PIN to log in.
There is also a special self-service mobile application you can download and install directly on your smartphone. Here is how it works:
When you have connected to MTN network, you can text a short message ‘Care’ to a quick number 5018. You will get a responding SMS with a link that leads to the application download. It is called MyMTN App. Install the program and use it to check all kinds of information about your account. METHOD 3: REQUEST CALL BACK
The mobile operator offers Call Me Back feature. You can text such message to your friend and see your handset number. Use the quick combination *133# to perform this action. This feature is free of charge.
This is a good method if you have airtime on your account. Just call anyone from your contact list and ask to name your phone number, which is always displayed when a person is calling.
You can also visit MTN’s site and find their Customer Care phone number. Call it and ask what phone number you have.
You can see that you can enjoy more than just one SIM card and get a mobile connection anywhere you are, enjoy more affordable data plans, text/call packages, and always now your phone number without having to remember it.

Lionel Messi continues investing in his life after football as he completed the purchase of a luxury Hotel Es Vive in Ibiza. The prices at Messi’s new property start at £226 per night.
Hotel Es Vive becomes the most recent addition to Messi’s MiM brand, already having a four-star hotel in Barcelona outskirts.

The expansion of an airport has been abandoned all because of Barcelona FC’s Argentine player, Lionel Messi. Reports have it that the expansion of El Prat Airport in Barcelona has been abandoned because continuing with it would lead to more air traffic above the footballer’s mansion in the coastal town of Castelldefels.
As for why a new additional runway located to the sea was discarded, the official explanation given is based on environmental and financial reasons. However, the president of Spanish low-cost airline, Vueling, offered a different perspective.
Javier Sanchez-Prieto said during a talk at Barcelona’s ESADE university.
“You cannot pass over where Messi lives,”
“This doesn’t happen anywhere else in the world.”
Vueling, based at El Prat de Llobregat, has hubs in Barcelona-El Prat Airport and Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport.
It is reported that the five times ballon d’or winner bought his neighbor’s house last year, to keep the noise level to a minimum around his home.

      Still on Messi
Marco Verratti has hit at Barcelona forward, Lionel Messi with claims that referees always overlook his wrongdoings on the field of play. The Italian made this revelation while speaking to the Gazzetta dello Sport about Paris Saint-Germain’s elimination at the hands of Real Madrid in the Champions League Round of 16, a game that saw the talented midfielder sent off for a second yellow.
“I got it wrong against Real, but it was a red card out of frustration and sometimes referees could be more tolerant,” Verratti said.
“It was a bad reaction but I didn’t insult anybody, whereas Messi goes around pointing his finger in the referee’s face and doesn’t even get punished.
“But anyway, I need to improve.”

Messi usually holds a reputation as one of the calmer personas among the stars of world football. He has only been sent off once in his professional career, when he was shown red just 40 seconds into his Argentina debut in August 2005 for lashing out at an opponent who tugged his shirt.

The owner of WhatsApp is not relenting as he's still continuing working hard to release updates from time to time in order to make sure the platform become easier to use. A few weeks back, Whatsapp Business was released, which is a must-have for all small business owners or anybody offering services to the public.
This is another great news. WhatsApp has rolled out its Payments service in India to the Android and iOS users. Earlier WhatsApp began the testing of its digital payment service in India with limited beta users. WhatsApp has rolled out its Payment feature for all the users in India and in order to use the WhatsApp payment feature, users need to update their WhatsApp messenger to the latest version.

The WhatsApp payment service has been integrated with BHIM (Bharat Interface for Money) and takes the advantage of the UPI (Unified Payments Interface) to let the users link their bank account, send and receive money directly from their WhatsApp messenger. Hopefully, the feature will be available very soon in Nigeria and other African countries.
WhatsApp Payment Feature, A Major Concern to Nigeria Banks   Do you know that telcos have hated the global messaging app due to the fact that "the activities of ‘over-the-top’ companies like WhatsApp, Viber have adverse effects on their business and affects the sustainability of Nigeria’s telecommunications industry."    Now, it seems the banks will join the battle royal. The risk to banks is clear: if WhatsApp becomes very successful in payments, it may become a small bank of itself. In other words, if people decide to be leaving money in their wallets without moving them to their bank accounts, most banks would struggle [liquidity issues].
In other words, you can leave N100k in your WhatsApp account to handle basic things, and only move the money to the bank when you need hard cash. Under this scenario, the bank is merely serving as a dumb terminal which is good when you need to withdraw cash or pay in money. Once the money is in the wallet, you have no need of your bank.

Most Nigerian banks are enjoying growing transaction-based fees with ATM charges and all kinds of charges including stamp duty on digital transfer. WhatsApp could help Nigerians to handle their financial transactions without hitting any bank server, and in the process avoid most of those fees. The excessive fees would push many people to adopt WhatsApp. Just load your WhatsApp wallet, and from there handle basic things of your life. Provided the money is leaving the wallet, banks would not access the stamp duty, SMS fees, etc.
