Nigerian singer “Wizkid” will be unable to perform this weekend at the “Coachella” music concert in America due to some issues with Visa for his band.
According To Him:
Last year, pop stars Wizkid and Davido gave a joint performance at Wizkid’s end of year concert in Lagos. This moment is regarded the most memorable of the year before as it was their first joint performance in many years.
Speaking on how it was orchestrated, Wizkid revealed during a HipTV interview that it was the simplest thing. “I just called him and we made it happen. It’s not a big deal. I just sent him a message”, he explained.
He went on to disclose that his supposed social media spat with Davido earlier in the year before was nothing serious “It’s all hype, that’s not real stuff”, he cited.
The Starboy also shared some insight on his current project – detailing that all the videos from his soon to be released “Made In Lagos” EP are being shot in Africa as his root is what he intends to sell.
“I shot a lot of videos in America and all around the world basically. But for my next project that, I’ll love for people to see Wizkid for Wizkid. I’m not shooting no videos outside”, he explained.
Wizkid’s Made In Lagos EP is expected to drop before the end of the second quarter.
Ayodeji ‘Wizkid’ Balogun appeared to be relishing the company of international model, Naomi Campbell in the picture of the duo above.
As they sat together, the 47 year old who was also pictured earlier on with President Muhammadu Buhari while inspecting the Eko Atlantic project was sipping a can of Coke.
The duo appear to have a good relationship looking at the picture.
American singer “The Weeknd” will be suing Nigerian singer “wizkid” and any other artists that try to Trademark “Starboy”.
According To The Weekend: He wants people to know that he is the real and only “Starboy.” And his lawyers are ready to take on any imposters.
TMZ also reports that the Canadian singer’s lawyers filed documentation against Eymun Talasazan, a realtor. Talasazan filed to trademark “Starboy” for his own creative projects long after the Weekend’s album and hit song of the same name.
According to TMZ, the musician’s legal team found Talasazan was up to other shady copyright business. He previously filed to trademark Straight Outta Bombton” and “Runnin’ Through the 6.” Such details reveal one thing: he’s mostly likely in it for the money.
“Starboy” reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart after spending eight consecutive weeks in the slot for number two, Billboard reports. Additionally, “Starboy” is the Weeknd’s third song to reach number one on the chart. It was Daft Punk’s first-ever time holding the number one slot on the chart.
